Sunday Scenes

Coming out of church this morning I was just in awe of the beauty of this beautiful early spring day. I quickly pulled out my camera to get a few shots of the scenes that we encountered as we left church.
It seems as if overnight everything turned green.   Easter week is upon us and it just could not have been a prettier morning to celebrate Palm Sunday.
The sky was crystal clear today without a cloud in sight.
The wisteria blooming and gracefully draping the old wrought iron gates made me smile. I love the faint sweetly fragrant smell of wisteria. Watch out for the bees though! They like it too.
Wisteria and Ivy are so simple and so southern and so beautiful!!!
Every which way I turned this morning there was something beautiful to look at.
These pink azaleas were just peeping out of this little corner wrought iron fencing. I'm always amazed that they always bloom whenever Easter is.
Hope you enjoyed these Sunday scenes today.  God has gifted us with such beauty all around us.

Sunday Surf and Sand

Sometimes on Sunday afternoons we head over to the beach to enjoy a family outing of fresh air and sunshine. We have a few favorite spots that we like to hang out.
Our family headed down to the beach
One favorite place is just over this dune. We enjoy the beach as much in the winter time as we do in the summer.
There is always something beautiful to look at at the beach,  dolphins, birds, shells, ships headed to the harbor.
Starfish were all over the beach today.
Our oldest son enjoys surfing, even in the cold water!
He and his fiancĂ© are on Spring break this week.  Today looks like it will be the only sunny day all week so we wanted to make sure he was able to spend a little bit of time looking for the perfect wave.
We started gathering starfish and putting them on a piece of driftwood that had washed up on the shore. Some children near by started bringing over more starfish to add to the collection.
Cute puppy on the beach today
Lots of people were out with their dogs today and we couldn't resist a pic of this retriever.  He looked just like our old dog Cooper when he was a puppy. We were so surprised when we talked to this pups owner to find out this puppy was named Cooper too! What a cutie pie!!!
Our oldest son catching a wave
Our son got a few good waves today. It was a great day to be outside and enjoy God's beautiful creation and the wonderful family God has blessed us with. Hope your Sunday was filled with sunshine!!!
