December 1st marks the official start of the Christmas season. It is such a wonderful time of year as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I enjoy everything about the Christmas holidays but I especially enjoy having some of those treats that we only allow ourselves to have once a year. I love the smells of Christmas too like the fragrance of pine and bayberry, peppermint and mulling spices simmering on the stove, and gingerbread cookies coming out of the oven. Here is a book I reccomend to get your kitchen involved in the celebration of Christmas, it is called The Christmas Kitchen by Tammy Maltby.
