Our Full Quiver

How quickly our children grow. It seems as if yesterday I was cuddling them and breathing in the soft baby smells of johnson baby lotion & powder. These days most of my kids are taller than me and I have to hold my nose when I pull the athletic socks out of the dirty laundry hamper to put in the washing machine. How did it happen so quickly?

I had such good intentions when this blog was started. I planned to keep up with it on a regular basis. Life has a way of squeezing out all of me that it can get. Lately I've felt as if I was a tube of toothpaste that has been squeezed, twisted, then finally flattened out & rolled up tight to get every little bit of paste out. Have you ever felt like that?

I am way behind on posts and things that have happened since my last post. I'm not sure if I should try to catch up or start over. While I ponder about that here are my Thanksgiving reflections. I cooked a turkey this year and we had thanksgiving at home. Normally we would spend Thanksgiving with my in-laws ( My mother in-law makes the absolute best dressing!!!!!!), but this year we decided to get my Mom from the nursing home and have her for the day. She enjoyed it so much & I was so thankful and grateful that she was with us. She has had some major health issues in recent years and we've almost lost her several times, but she is an incredible woman with amazing determination and an unwavering faith in God. We thank God that she is improving and doing well. Here are some photos from Thanksgiving.

Here I am with my Mom.

the Turkey before

The Turkey after.

It wasn't long after the meal when, you guessed it, everybody started to get drowsy. My hubby nodded off first. So while he was sleeping the kids and I decided a little fun Thanksgiving glee was needed to wake everybody up.

We had just the idea of what to do when memaw said she needed some cool whip on her sweet potato pie.
